The unique shape el 'playful aspect of this stool designed by Oskar Zieta are the result of a sophisticated and innovative technology developed at ETH Zurich, the famous Swiss polytechnic. FIDU is a technology that enables to weld together a double layer of steel sheets and inflate like a balloon with a powerful jet of air to give a 3D dimension. FIDH allows the mass production of custom shapes. Models made in FIDU are very light, but also very durable. Since its launch on the market, the stool Plopps has been shown in exhibitions around the world and has won several prestigious awards: Red Dot Design Award 2008, German Design Award 2008 and 2009 Forum AID Award.
